CES 2024 is officially underway after an exciting opening day of exhibition. So far, the Patriot team's showcase all about the exciting performance of tomorrow has been a major success, garnering plenty of media visitors at all hours of the day.

Today, let's discuss the future for two different types of devices in their engineering prototype stages: the Viper Xtreme 5 DDR5 9000+ MT/s Kit, and the Patriot Portable SSD Type C. Although both are drastically different components in terms of solution and function, both represent the future goals of Patriot Memory in their mission to manufacture the best in high performance solutions in every type of computer component.

Viper Xtreme 5 RGB DDR5 9000+ MT/s UDIMM Kit

The Viper Xtreme 5 is one of Viper Gaming's newest flagship performance memory series. Unveiled for the first time at CES 2023, the Viper Xtreme 5 represents Viper Gaming's commitment to creating the best in professional grade performance memory and pushing the limits of innovation. The Viper Xtreme 5 has done this both figuratively and literally as Viper Gaming's highest performing memory, transfer and frequencies have made a big splash in the overclocking community. With its support for Intel XMP 3.0 Ready overclock profiles, the Viper Xtreme 5 is truly built to go above and beyond.

So far, the Viper Xtreme 5 has been the first of its kind from Viper Gaming to reach upwards of 8000+ MT/s in 2023, and it isn't showing any signs of slowing down in 2024. Today, the Patriot Memory team showcased an engineering prototype for the upcoming Viper Xtreme 5 RGB DDR5 48GB (2X24GB) 9000+ MT/s UDIMM Kit.

When pushing the kit further with its overclocking capabilities through Intel XMP 3.0, the Patriot Memory team was excited to reach over 9000MT/s stable performance, a major milestone in Viper's DDR5 advancements.

As we note from the team's results above from SuperPi, the Patriot team was able to successfully reach a total of 9006.2MT/s, with a noted average of 11.198 seconds per loop during testing. This is a massive achievement for Viper Gaming to keep expanding its high-speed ability that makes ultimate performance sustainable on DDR5-reliant systems.

This 9000+ MT/s kit will be part of a new expansion onto the Viper Xtreme 5 DDR5 flagship series, with 8400, 8600 and 8800+ MT/s speeds and 32GB and 48GB kits hitting shelves in the near future. These kits will be perfect additions for high-performance, serious gamers, content creators who require the extra power, and overclockers and big tech enthusiasts, of course.

Patriot Portable SSD USB Type C

The world of external solid state drives is expanding this year over at Patriot Memory. Along with the Transporter we touched on yesterday, we can also see an early engineering prototype of the latest external storage series: the Patriot Portable SSD USB Type C.

As you might expect from its name, the Patriot Portable SSD USB Type C is built with a USB Type-C connection that comes with additional Type-C to dual connector Type A/C connection for a versatile storage solution for any device. The Patriot Portable SSD USB Type C also offers plenty of strong performance to make data management and organization a breeze anywhere you need it, with sequential read speeds of up to 2100MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 1800MB/s. This, combined with its 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities, makes for a powerful drive with plenty of versatility, space and power in one external storage solution.

Be sure to keep up with Patriot's daily CES 2024 coverage to see all of the exciting things coming in 2024 and beyond. Check out yesterday's articles on the differences between UDIMMs and RDIMMs, a bevy of new SSDs and an early sample of Viper's upcoming RDIMM, and Viper Gaming's first collaboration with ASUS' TUF Gaming.
