My DDR3 system states that it must use 1.5v rated memory. The memory I purchased is rated higher. Is it safe to use the higher voltage?|
Yes, all DDR3 uses '1.50v rated' chips that boots up at 1.50v. All the chips we used follow the same standards, they just need to be overvolted to achieve the rated performance/overclocked timings. All of our DDR3 is platform-specific, ensured to work safely on your platform, regardless of the required voltage increase. |
