Is it normal for the unit to lose battery life when not in use?

Yes, when off (or idle), it is normal for the unit to discharge some battery life. For optimum charge, it is recommeded to use the wall jack adapter to fully charge the unit.

I just purchased my Gauntlet 320, Why doesn't my device pick up the Gauntlet 320 through Wifi?

Try charging the battery through the wall jack for a few hours and re-try it. The Gauntlet will require more power in order to be seen via wireless, for some devices.

How do I reset the ssid password to the Gauntlet 320?

To reset the password, look for the reset button on the corner of the unit where the 'node' logo is; insert a small pin at the reset button for 5 seconds. The unit will turn off and you will have the option to reset the password once the unit is turned back on. Your data will still be intact.

No, but access to Gauntlet 320 can be restricted by setting security password on the Gauntlet 320. There are three password modes available to secure Gauntlet 320, they are WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK.

On the Gauntlet 320, can I access the USB and be connected to Wifi at the same time?

No, you cannot. Because of the risk of overhating, the Guanlet 320 has built-in hardware protection that prevents simulataneous access of the USB port AND Wireless connection simultaneously.

When wirelessly connected, open a start/run command (Windows) or locate the Finder (Mac) and type the following IP:

When prompted for a username and password, use 'admin and 'admin'.

Through Android/Ios Device:

1) Open the Gauntelt Connect Application.

2) Hit 'Menu' on the bottom right.

3) Hit 'Settings'.

4) Select Wi-Fi Networks and locate your desired SSID and enter password (if necessary).

Through Computer:

1) Type in the Gauntlet 320's IP Address in your browser:

10.10.10.254.

2) Look under setup and then Network Connections.

3) Select Wi-Fi Networks and locate your desired SSID and enter password (if necessary).

You should now be connected to your Gauntlet 320 and Wireless Network for Internet Access.

How do I update the firmware to the Gauntlet 320?

How to update the Gauntlet 320-

Download the firmware from our website here: http://www.patriotmemory.com/support/drivers-downloadsp.jsp

Unzip the file and take the file PAXX_X.X.X.X.bin and put it into the root folder of your Gauntlet Node HDD/SSD (You can do this by going through the USB)

If you are using a PC:

Open any browser and type in “10.10.10.254”
While you are in the GUI, select “Setup”
Select “Update Software”
Under “SDA…,” your folder “Firmware” should be selectable

If you are using a tablet:

Make sure you are connected to the Gauntlet 320 wirelessly
Open the application
Select “Menu” and then “Settings”
Select “Update Software”
Under “SDA…,” your folder “Firmware” should be selectable.
