    Default 8 Bay H82-SU3S2, USB 3.0 & eSata Mediasonic

Can the 8 Bay H82-SU3S2, USB 3.0 & eSata Mediasonic be used with the PBO box? If not, is there any other enclosure with 4+ HD bays that is supported (preferably 3TB per HD)?

PBO is limited to 2TB drives.

USB 3.0 is not supported by the PBO therefore USB 2.0 standard and speed will be used only.

PBO does not have an eSata port.

Therefore given the above mentioned limitation; this box will probably work with the PBO but in a limited capacity.

    Hope this helps.

I understand the limitations but will the PBO even recognize it once connected and will I be able to play movies from it (ie, 1080p mkv files)?

USB 2.0 is fast enough to allow playback of 1080p files however the only one that can confirm this device works well with the PBO is someone who has one. If you decide to purchase that item to be use with the PBO I would make sure that you are familiar with the return policy of the store; many computer store hgave a restocking fee.

Sorry that I can not be of more help to you; maybe someone with that device will pop up.

    Cheers!!!

I bought the 4 bay version of this enclosure and it works great with the PBO. The PBO picks up each drive as a different drive. Example: c:\, D:\, E:\ and F:\

I am using four different 2TB drives in mine.
