I submitted a LAN sponsorship request to marketing e-mail, but it bounced as my Gmail account was flagged as spam for some reason. I've noticed that a few others are having this problem as well.

Subject: LAN Sponsorship Inquiry - MidWestLAN14

Hello,

This is Alex Scheurell, the Event Administrator for MidWestLAN, a LAN group based out of southeastern Wisconsin. I am e-mailing you because we are seeking sponsors for our upcoming 100+ man LAN on October 20th.

MWL14 will follow our standard MWL format as a 24 hour, 100+ person event (we're setting the capacity at 105 gamers for the time being, but if demand is high enough we do have the room to expand to probably around 125). This will be our first event at our new venue, the Elkhorn Arena gaming center in Elkhorn, WI. Starting at 10AM on October 20th, MWL14 will continue the MWL tradition of high quality LAN events, with a fine blend of competitive gaming tournaments and more relaxed open gaming session.

Our 'main event' (though this can be contested considering we have two very strong contenders running this year as well) will feature MWL staple CS: Source (or Global Offensive depending on reaction from the competitive CS scene) as our sole cash tournament.

We will also be featuring two of the world's most popular competitive games in our tournament lineup with Starcraft 2 making a return after debuting at last year's MidWestLAN13, and League of Legends making its MWL debut in a 5v5 Summoner's Rift tourney. Additionaly, old favorite UT2K4 returns as a FFA tournament and our sole console tournament will be MWL standard Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Of course, not everyone will want to play tournaments, so for those who are attending just to hang out and game with friends and other enthusiasts we'll be running a variety of servers and open gaming events throughout the day (Trackmania, Minecraft, Killing Floor, etc). To break up the gaming action we'll also have our usual case mod contest and a Mountain Dew speed drinking competition.

If sponsorship is provided, we can offer a wide array of web and live-event exposure for Patriot. We put all event sponsors on the front page of our website and in addition to permanent placement on the sponsors page. Additionally, all event sponsors are mentioned in any e-mail blasts we send out leading up to and following the event. We create a flyer for the event that we hang at local computer shops/campuses/gaming centers, and all sponsors are added to a section on that flyer (if they so choose).

At the event itself, we would hang any posters/banners provided, and distribute any other promotional material on our swag table. A projection system is run at the event that cycles through our various sponsors, and verbal mention is made of the sponsor for any raffle and tournament sponsorship. It's a great chance to get exposure to a wide variety of gamers that flock to MWL events from across the United States.

It would be great to get some kind of mutually beneficial arrangement worked out and have Patriot join us for MWL14.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions, please let me know, or check out our website at www.midwestlan.com

Thanks,

Alex Scheurell
