Default 3TB External HDD - will PBO Core recognize if partitioned?

Hi, guys...need some help. I have an external 3TB HDD that I'm trying to have my PBO Core recognize. The HDD has been formated as a GPT Disk, so my OS does see the entire volume on the disk.

I know there are limitations with the Core when it comes to the large HDDs...so my question is if I partition the 3TB HDD into two smaller volumes...will the Core then recognize them? I've been messing around trying to do just that...but no luck with the Core "seeing" the HDD whether it's partitioned or not. Obviously, I'm trying to be able to utilize the entire space on the HDD.

Is there a way to do it?

    Thanks much!!

    Hey Spaz,

Unfortunately, the PBO's limitation also includes no partitions in the external hard drive. Also the max capacity we have tested on the PBO core is 2tb.

I am assuming you have tried the external hard drive fresh without any changes and it didn't help?

I did try it fresh but no luck there either.

Well - that answered my question. Just out of curiousity...does the Alpine have better capability when it comes to the large external HDDs?

    Thanks very much!
