    Default Bad memory module - PVS24g8500 ELKR2

I have 4 GB of DDR2 memory (2 x PVS24G8500 ELKR2) installed in an Asus M4A78-E motherboard with the latest 2603 bios. Memtest shows errors at a few locations around 414 MB. Since I am using an Athlon II, the memory is running well withing the specified speed (pc6400 vs pc8500). I have also tried the memory modules in the black slots. Tweaking the bios settings for memory voltage between 1.8 and 2.1 volts inclusive does not have a noticeable effect. If I remove the defective module, I do not get any errors, even without tweaking the settings. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Robert

    Hello,

Can you try flashing the board to the latest bios? Let me know if this helps.
