Default .v2 Firmware update and Automatic Root Enabling Plugin

Does the Automatic Root Enabling Plugin still work with the .v2 firmware?

Trying to decide If I should upgrade or not.

Yes, it does, even the Optware plugin.

Hmmm... Just tried it, and I get a "failed" message. Any ideas?

I also just tried to install rooter on the javelin I bought yesterday. The ppg, not the zip file. Using chrome browser I get an error saying unexpected end of file error. I tried it again with firefox and got an "upload failed" error.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same firmware version, my box says it's 02.01.4000.19.

I think your Javelin may have shipped out with an old firmware, who knows.

are you still on the beta, which may be reporting itself as v2?

    my box says .20

    Hi,
I just received a new Javelin with 02.01.4000.19. I am having the same problems with not being able to install plugins or new firmware. I suspect that 02.01.4000.19 is not v2 based on the filename of the v2 files.

Either way, I would really appreciate any ideas that anyone may have on how to get plugins or the new firmware onto the box. I have tried different browsers (new and old) on different OSs, XP, win 7 and OS X.

    Thanks
