It's good that you hear our frustrations, but with no disrespect, actions speak louder. I think if this product has any chance of being successful, the company needs to quickly devote a lot more resources to it, or immediately open it up to those that can take it to the next level. I can't believe how long it has taken just to update the alpha version! I expected a lot more from a company like Patriot.
From the little bit of research I have been doing today, it appears that you are unfortunately falling behind your competitors. For example, the Pivos XIOS DS Media Player was updated in June to ICS from 2.3. Furthermore, it was announced that XBMC will be releasing a full Android version and Pivos appears to have a head start as they have been supporting XBMC. (It helps that one of the XBMC developers works for them. But I am sure XBMC would love to hear from Patriot too.) See here for more details on the XBMC announcement:
