Exclamation Can't install plugins or firmware

I'm at the end of my rope here. No matter what browser I try to use, I can't install any plugins or firmware, official or not, on the Javelin. I always get an "[Object error]" (IE), "Syntax Error: Unexpected end of file" (Chrome) or "Invalid upload" (Firefox).

I can't even update to the .2 beta to see if that might fix it. I WAS able to get root access via busybox, so if anyone has any idea what I can check/look up/do/fix, please help.

I also get the same errors.

I opened a case, but this is all they gave me:

    > I was reading in some forums about your issue. Could you try this:
    > Go into tools and go onto "e;manage add ons"e;, on the link box click on disable or enable add ons, look down the list and look for Yontoo layers, and enable it.

    ...WTF?

I did a little search to figure out what "Yontoo Layers" was:

    > Yontoo layers is a broswer plugin that is intended to allow you to add a custom profile on facebook. It's debated if the program poses
    > a security risk, but most anti-virus and anti-malware programs will say it is and will remove it.
    > It's not a useful plugin, so it's best if you just remove it rather than have a program that is in the gray area in terms of security.

    Wow...seriously?
    Obviously, that's not it.

So I just rebooted the NAS and tried again (chrome)...low and behold, it worked!!!!

    Good luck!

    Hi,

I just received a new Javelin with firmware 02.01.4000.19. I am having the same problems with not being able to install plugins or new v2 firmware.

I have tried different browsers (new and old) on different OSs, XP, win 7 and OS X. I also tried the reboot suggestion several times.

    Thanks

Quick update, was able to install the rooter plugin via dashboard. Would still like to know if there is any solution to installing firmware since I can't find a way to do it via Dashboard.

WebPASM is still not working for for firmware upgrades. Since it looks like the upload is failing, would there be a way of copying the firmware file over via the network and then renaming and putting in the right place and kicking of the upgrade scripts?

    Thanks
