Default Setting up external ftp access...

The ftp server is responding with my internal ip address... How do I set it to respond with my external ip?

You need to use a DNS provider, there are many free ones like dnsdynamic.org or no-ip.com, to host a domain name and redirect traffic to your ip.

You then need to set your router to forward ftp requests (usually port 21) to the internal ip for your Javelin. (port forwarding/forwarding to virtual server, might be under "Firewall" section of router)

Also be sure FTP Sharing is enabled in the Javelin. (Administration -> File & Print -> Protocol Control)

I have a paid for domain ftp.*.* and the ports are forwarded. The client is connecting but the S4 is responding with the unroutable internal ip so the client can't connect fully.
