    Post PBO as NAS/FTP in Network via Crossover/direct connection to the PC (without router)

    Hey guys,
    i've been looking for a solution for a long time now. And now i have it!

    First, i tested on windows 7 and the Player has the unofficial Firmware Mede8er v4.0.4.

    1. I tested the network cable connection between Notebook and Player:

    The Notebook have the follow IPs:

    LAN -> ipv4

    IP: 192.168.0.1
    Sub: 255.255.255.0
    Gat: 192.168.0.1

    The Player have the follow configuration (my special):

    Network:

    NAS Mode = ON
    Host Name = mede8er
    Remote Control = ON
    FTP Mode = OFF
    Wired Lan Setup = ON* -> Fix IP (manuel)
    -> IP : 192.168.0.2
    -> SUB: 255.255.255.0
    -> GAT: 192.168.0.1
    -> DNS: 192.168.0.1
    Wireless Setup = ON

    2. Test connection

    Open the console on win7 (cmd.exe) and type "ping 192.168.0.2" (the player ip) and u must get a reply with 3 lines and at the end TTL=64 (TTL=128 is the computer himself)

    3. Account on win7

    I made a account on Win7 for the Patriot Box as normal User, i called Mede8er and with a password what u want

    - now i made a Folder on my HDD with the name PBO:
    -> then right click
    -> Share with
    -> Specific People
    -> now choose the Mede8er account and "add"
    -> and now u can give him rights, when u want (read, write oder whatever)

    Now u have a folder for the Player, and u can logged in with the Player on your computer with this account (Mede8er and password as login data)

    4. Test streaming

    I put a videofile in the pbo folder on my computer. With the patriot player i logged in to my notebook on the pbo folder.

    I have a connection with ~ 8MB/s and now u can stream or copy what u want.
    I have now 2 connections (direct lan connection to the pc = ~8MB/s and wlan connection to the router = ~900KB/s) and it works perfect

    Have fun

    P.S. Sorry for my english, i'm german
