I am using Windows Vista OS with all service packs, etc. I'll try formatting my other Xporter 64GB with exFAT. (Wish there were some instructions on your spec sheet with these "suggestions".) But why does the HP Flash drive write 3x faster than the XPorter for the same type of files?

Would you recommend some other Patriot Flash Drive model which would have faster write times for small files than the Xporter Pulse? What can I expect for write times for these drives?

The reason why their drive could have faster random reads could be because of the controller they are using. Furthermore, please keep in mind that our Xporter Pulse is intended as a value-consciense line. For something more performance orientated in USB 2.0, we would recommend our Rage or Xporter XT Boost Flash Drive.

Thanks for the recommendations. However, there is absolultely NOTHING on your product package labeling or even in your technical specification for the the Xporter Pulse to appraise the consumer of the technical capabilities of your product. The only thing your packaging says is "USB 2.0" and "MAXIMUM VALUE". What does that mean in technical terminology? A little truth in advertising would be much appreciated so that the consumer can select the appropriate device for the intended application.

Why did you buy it if this is so critical for you?

Indicating that performance isn't the focus of this line of flash drives.

    See above...

There was no deception in their advertising at all. Just because you lack common sense, doesn't make Patriot a company that deceives their customers.

Further, if the application of the flash drive is important to you, than one would expect you to do some very simple research before making your purchase.

I find it smug of you to insult a very good company over your lack of technical understanding.
