Stream whats on my computer (preferably ubuntu) screen

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is anyway to get the PBO to stream what is currently on my desktop's screen. The desktop is on the network and running Ubuntu.

Alternatively, I could have the desktop directly connected to the PBO via usb or whatever... but I don't want to plug my desktop directly into the TV, because the quality is rubbish compared to the quality of watching things off the PBO.

The quick answer is no. Of course that being said I learned that nothing is impossible although I did experiment with a similar idea way back by using a video capture program and doing realtime streaming of the file that the video capture created using an upnp server but I was not successful. I can not remember all the specific this was a long time ago now. The OS used for this experiment was Ubuntu 10.04; I haven't revisited this since.
