Thread: PX538G2000ELK cannot get stable even with XMP

Default PX538G2000ELK cannot get stable even with XMP

    Z77 board, P8Z77-V Pro
    3570K

    I have tried:

    Vccsa to 1.1v
    PLL to 1.81v

    Memory repeatedly fails in prime95.

I have 16gb, and cannot afford to buy all new memory, I am hoping the
tech here might have some advice.

There's limited data on timings for this ram on the website.

Same ram ran 2200mhz on sandy bridge i5 2500k no issues...

    Hello,

Unfortunately our PX538G2000ELK is only intended for the Intel P55.

The reason why it's not working at 2000 is because the Z77 does not have a native DDR3-2000 strap. Thus with XMP, it's setting the memory strap to 1866 and overclocking the CPU Baseclock to compensate. Unfortunately you might have to settle for manually setting it to 1866 and slowly increasing the Baseclock from 100-107 at it's max point.

    This worked.

Would jumping to 2133 work possibly?

I just bought this ram and it doesn't say anything on the box about not being ivy bridge
    incompatible.

Do you have a trade in program?

    Hello,

Unfortunately we do not, (to my knowledge) our RMA only covers defective same items.

You can send an e-mail to RMA@Patriotmem.com to see if they can do so.

However, your best bet might be to do this through the reseller.
