Default Will a SDXC card work in a SDHC compatible laptop?

I have an ASUS 1015PEM-PU17 laptop that I take on holidays, that I use to backup my SDHC card from my camera. I will be purchasing a new higher end camera that shoots HD video, and is compatible with SDXC cards. I would like to purchase a high capacity SDXC card for this camera. But I was wondering if it would be able to be read with my laptop. It doesn't list SDXC in the specifications, but it is a couple of years old. So, did they not list it as SDXC was around much yet, or because it is not compatible.
Anytime I try to find info on the laptop, all I get is links to the original specifications. I never get an answer that someone has tried it, and said yes or no.
So generally I am asking: How is the compatibility, for a know SDHC compatible device(my laptop), to READ a SDXC card? Thanks.

    Hey dharper,

Unfortunately we have never tested our SDXC cards on this laptop. Your best bet is to contact Asus to confirm if it will support SDXC or not. All SDXC cards should follow Sd associations' specs, so if they've tested any on this laptop, ours should definitely work.
