Default Issue updating firmware for PP120GS25SSDR Pyro 120GB SATA III 2.5 Solid State Drive

I started getting BSOD's. Found out my ram was bad. So I switched it out with others that I had. Tested out fine. But I am still getting BSOD's. So I thought might as well update my firmware.

The issue is. I have FW Rev. 332ABBF0. Which I googled and it says its v3.2.2. Well 5.0.2 is out so I am trying to update to it. I went threw the app they have for it. It detects my drive and says it will restart if needed. It never does. But my firmware is still the same. It says it uploaded it just fine via my mouse over the drive icon on the app. But the firmware never changed at all. Tried restarting and rescaning to see if it makes a change. Nada still has the 3.2.2

So if you know how I can get this fixed please do tell.

Also the BSOD Screen error I get is "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXECPTION" 0x0000003B I have googled this issue it says it is a hardware issue. But all the hardware I have installed as not been changed for 4years and the SSD I have had since 2/28 of this year and been running fine since then. Not for sure if anyone could help me with this. But if you can please do tell. Feel free to email me nipper4369@gmail.com if you can help with my BSOD issue.

Did you turn your computer off after the firmware upgrade? The new firmware won't be used until the drive is properly powered down and repowered.

Restart and reset don't actually allow the SSD to start running the new firmware that was uploaded. A full power down is needed.

The BSOD you are describing is normally not caused by SSDs ... that is usually code 0x000000F4.

As I said. I restarted it my self to see if it would have updated. But it never did.
