Patriot Xpress usb 3.0 gone dire slow!!

Hi

I've had this device for a few months and it worked great, yesterday I used it a few time to transfer files from my laptop to desktop, right-clicking and ejecting correctly.
Now all of a sudden its gone crazy slow, be it on usb 2 or usb 3 ports, even deleting a 70mb files from the drive takes 1 minute. I downloaded the patriot restore.exe and formatted it but no change.

Anything I can do to get this back to speed?
