DLNA Server Will not Start
DLNA Server will not start. All other services start and stop with no issue. Any thoughts or trouble shooting would be helpful. I have worked through several other small issues, and this is my last obstacle to functionality.

Try telneting in and starting it manually and see what the error message that comes up says

Thank you for the help .... need a little more.
ReubenOO,
Thank you for the help. I am going to need a little more help here. The last time I used TCP was in college in the 90s. (to register for classes). Can you give me a little more or point me to a tutorial. When I bought this, I was under the impression that it was a consumer product.
My first guess was
?? window+r telnet <the javelin ip address>??
But that doesn't seem to work. Any advice really would be helpful
a little more background on the issue. When I start the DLNA server the message is "Please wait .... Service has started" there is no error, but the service simply does not start. This issue is unique to the DLNA service (incidentally the only service that I am interested in). I have also tried via the dashboard - no luck with that either.
All I really wanted was an easy way to run a RAID array and serve up my media- I am currently using an ancient computer running UBUNTU, and using mediatomb and samba to serve the files. I really want to put the old computer out of its misery and move on with the javelin, but man they don't make it easy.
Thanks again for the help.

No Problem,
- First, Go to this link (http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/...nabling-Plugin), and download the plugin and install it
-Download Putty (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/)
-Create a putty session with HostName = "THEIPOFYOURNAS" and the Port=2380. User name is Root, password is blank so just hit enter
-Once in the Console, cd to /etc/init.d
-There should be a dlna script there
-Type " ./dlna start" which should start the DNLA service and since its not working, it should print out some error on why its not starting
