Default PBO does not believe in firmware updates

unfortunately, no one will be able to assist. PBO does not support MKV files. It's a shame and maddening, I know. Very unfortunate, but you just need to try to stay away from MKV's when downloading files.
Personally, if I really want that and MKV file, I will still download it and just watch it with a media player on my laptop (GOM player or VLC) and connect it directly to my receiver and my TV.
Sorry for the bad news. I'm sure it could be an easy firmware update, but PBO doesn't seem to do that sort of thing.

    Cheers

    Anton,

Can you send us a small sample file with something like Dropbox or yousendit to support@patriotmem.com?

The PBO DOES support MKV files... we'll be glad to update the library support for MKV.

We're in the process of gathering problematic types of MKV files our users have.

First, we'll need sample files to first be able to replicate the issue for a fix.

????? Since when??? The vast majority of videos stored on my PBO HDD are MKVs (over a hundred), and they play beautifully!!
