Pyro Se 120GB freezing

Hello I bought the pyro se 120GB a few months back and everything was working well until I updated the firmware to 5.0.2. Ever since then every time I open a game the computer freezes/locks up and is completely unresponsive. I have tried to downgrade the firmware with the updater and the updater shows every folder (including the desktop) empty when I search for the firmware. AHCI is enabled I have restored with a system image just to see if anything would happen. I have and ASUS Sabertooth 990fx motherboard. Any tips or solutions to the problem would awesome! Thanks

Can you try re-flashing it to 5.0.2? Let the firmware settle for a few hours with the system idle.
