Default Name of upcoming Pbo media player

I read something online a few weeks ago about a new media player Patriot are working on, not the Alpine Android one but a newer player which is Linux based I believe. Can anyone give any official news about this player and even the name as i've forgot it and you'd help me not sound stupid when telling friends about it lol.

I believe the player you are refering to is the PBO Core XT. According to a recent post by Patriot_Ben the production of this unit has been put on hold for now.

    Cheers !!!

Snappy46 is correct. Right now the complete focus will be on the Alpine.

The preliminary Core XT specs showcased last year did have a lot more bells and whistles but the Fujitsu Chipset (used by Alpine) has more potential for Android support.

That's disappointing as the Alpine seems to be more driven towards Android apps which I personally don't really care for too much and the Core Xt from what I read and the video I watched seemed much more promising. I was thinking of skipping the Alpine and upgrading straight to Core XT.

Weighing up the pros and cons I can't see a reason for going from a Core to the new Alpine, in fact it seems like a downgrade tbh. It looks cheaply made (plastic), no int HDD, no improvements on the networking but whoopee can play silly android games now lol.
To me an advancement would have been improve networking, built in wireless N adapter, support for 3.5" HDD, overall improvements of navigation etc with probably more power.
Sorry if I sound harsh but really disappointed with the Alpine and was looking forward to the XT.
