    Question PXD34G1866ELK timings in a G41 mb

I was given some PXD34G1866ELK 1866 memory that I want to use in a G41 motherboard (ASUS P5G41T-M LX PLUS), which supports up to 1333 overclocked (or so the spec sheet says). I assume that the fast memory, although obviously overkill for this low-end motherboard, would work at the slower speed. (Please tell me if it won't!)

What should the timings be at slower speeds? I assume that the memory can run tighter than the specified 9-11-9-27 timings @ 1866, but how much tighter? Would it run the same as slower memory, something like 7-7-7-24? Is there an XMP for the slower speed, or do I have to play with the timings to find it (assuming that the motherboard even has that ability)? There is no information on the spec sheet.

    Hello mrh1,

Yes our PXD34G1866ELK is programmed to boot at lower speeds and should still work for the system in general. You might be be able to get them to run at 1333 7-7-7 or 8-8-8. Unfortunately the XMP profile will not work for this motherboard. Also for this motherboard, you can also adjust the dram voltage up to 1.80-1.90v. It doesn't have the same limitations as the P67 platform that the memory was intended for, fyi.
