PBO Alpine Matrix Alpha Firmware

Hi Ben,

Thank you for the update; looking forward to it. By the way any particular reasons why those firmware are hosted on Rapidshare or some other file server instead of being hosted on the Patriot server ???? Downloading from some of those file server when you do not have an account with them can be painfully slow not to mentioned the wait time before you can proceed with the download. Just wandering that's all.

A few reasons:

The main reason is because we wanted to distinguish it from our stock firmware. Until we were comfortable with getting a Matrix version approved by the community, we wanted our users to use with caution, and understand that it's far from a Mass Production level release.

Another reason was because of the Site makeover we had in the works. If you notice, we started hosting other firmware for other products in this manner too.

Some of these firmware versions will eventually go to our website and some (such as Alpha) will remain hosted through these 3rd party servers.

That's a good question. I downloaded a movie - turned out to be a wmv and it just didn't play on my Alpine (Matrix).
