I assume I can flash straight to it from whatever stock factory version I got with it ?
    That is correct.

Still many issues with the Matrix Alpha; unless you enjoy thinkering and experimenting I recommend that you use the stock firmware for now.

    Cheers !!!

I've been staying with the authorized firmware upgrades and even when I installed 2.0.1; whenever I play an MP4 video file, the alpine won't detect and output the file in 5.1DD. Instead it downgrades it to 2.0DD. Will there be a fix for this?

    bkwashby,

Please advise, so this did not happen with any of the earlier stock fw for you?

    Hi Ben,

Are you able to advise when you will be releasing the next firmware update?

    Thanks,
    Richard

Eagerly anticipating that Matrix update! Wish all hands were on deck for that instead of the website visual overhaul!

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for the update; looking forward to it. By the way any particular reasons why those firmware are hosted on Rapidshare or some other file server instead of being hosted on the Patriot server ???? Downloading from some of those file server when you do not have an account with them can be painfully slow not to mentioned the wait time before you can proceed with the download. Just wandering that's all.

    Cheers !!!
