    Default Ouch...

I just got my Alpine delivered by NCIX and what a disapointment.

Their website claimed the Alpine supported a 2.5" hdd...they changed/corrected the description but not before I got suckered into ordering one.

Will it ever get internal hdd support ??

I hope I can return the thing as the internal hdd and Android were my main reasons for purchasing one.

    Hi Poloman,

Unfortunately no, this unit will not support internal HDD.

We will look to create another version down the road with internal HDD support, but the current Alpine that is shipping only supports SD Cards and hdd's via external USB.

Thanx for the quick reply Ben.

Now we'll see what NCIX's service is like, otherwise I have a $ 100 paperweight on my hands.

I had the same thing, NCIX is usually good. They normaly have a 15% restocking fee if you open it, but the blame is actually not on NCIX side as it was upto the manufacturer to provide the info. I have another thread about the problems I have had with info vs. what is actually in the box HERE on the forums. The Alpine Core XT is the one with the internal hard drive which is yet to be announced officially. If you want a better remote, send them the invoice along with a complaint to RMA and he said they will send you a full size remote.

They have RMA'd for me...without issue. Glad to see they are respecting their error(+/or Patriot's).

Try changing your extension from AVI to avi (small letter); since Android sits on top of linux which is case sensitive this might solve your problem.
