HDD Share for Win7?

With the constant crap in win7. does anyone know of a software program I could use on a win7 machine to make my shares availible to my pbo and other pc's without the win7 headache?

I'm tempted to just run Ubuntu but don't know sharing on linux AT ALL

I found win7 file sharing works if you follow the sticky thread to change network file sharing setting on your Win7 machine. I can now access to my Win7 notebook computer from PBO.
