PBO - composite audio and HDMI video at the same time?
Hi all,
Just joined this forum as I am thinking of getting a PBO but I would like to find out the answer to this question before I decide for sure.
The reason I ask is that I would like to play video via HDMI and also audio through composite so that I can then connect a red/white cable to my old fashioned amp.
Is this possible?

Hello,
As far as I know, yes this should be possible. The audio outputs on composite will still be audible while you're watching a video on HDMI.
I have tested watching a video through HDMI while recording it via composite to DVD-R.

For sure it would work. I connect my PBO to the TV via HDMI and connect the RCA audio output to a Bluetooth transmitter. When my kids are doing homework, I mute the TV (actually optically connected sound bar passing through the TV) and put on my bluetooth stereo headset.Originally Posted by Cieran

Hi, I to needed this facility I feed my HDMI to the TV but also my composite audio to a decent set of powered speakers this allows the TV to be switched off for music playing from playlists.
