Default USB Flash Drive Maximum Write Cycles

I have a couple of Patriot USB Flash Drives. I made both of them into Multiboot USB Flash Drives. I have installed around 12 Linux Operating Systems on each of the two Flash Drives. About once a week I uninstall three (3) of the Linux Operating Systems and then install the updated versions of the three (3) Linux Operating Systems which I just uninstalled.

In the past I have read that USB Flash Drives have a limited amount of "writes". Does the weekly uninstall/reinstall operation significantly affect the life of the USB Flash Drives?

    Thanks in Advance.

    Hello,

Yes, especially going from using the drive as a removable device to a bootable drive. You are always reading and writing to the drive, which theoretically will impact the life of the drive.
