    Ohad,

The best course of action at this point is to work with our RMA Department. Please send an e-mail to RMA@patriotmem.com if this is what you are requesting. Unfortunately we don't not have anyone from the RMA Department here on the support forums. Unfortunately this is beyond my boundaries and there is only so much that I can do.

    By the way...
We also were able to run a quick install with Windows 7 64 Bit SP1 and had no issues at all...

    Dear Patriot_Ben.
i saw the screenshot. (your device appear as ATA DEVICE, NOT SCSI)

can you please show me screenshot of the CPU-Z, Device Manager and the SSD Firmware? are you using the 5.0.2 or the 3.2.2 FW?
on previews screenshot you used a IDE Bios configuration and not ACHI. and the drive appear as ATA DEVICE and NOT SCSI DEVICE. did you install the SP1 with ACHI or IDE Configuration?

because its really very strange. as you recall at the distributer LAB we opend 4 new drives and 2 new MB. and could not install windows.
can you also give me the DVD version of your Windows installation Disk? is it X17-24395 or a different one? i saw the Gigabyte logo on the SYS INFO. is it a Windows installation from gigabyte? im attaching my Bios Config SC.

the Israeli Distributer contacted me today and said that they saw the problem too. so i just dont know how to treat your response.
not me and not the distributer succeed to install windows, and i am sure that the distributer lab know what they are doing.

    here are my Bios config.
can you please verify that our BIOS CONFIG is the same?

and again, i want to thank you again for all your efforts.

    Thank you.
    Ohad.

    Ohad,

The disk we are using is an OEM Recovery Version and we do not have the install version available.

We installed everything on default optimal settings using 3.3.2 firmware on AHCI.

Have they tried installing this DVD on any other drives besides the Vertx 3?

Although you've replaced the motherboard, have you contacted the motherboard manufacturer in regards to the issue?

At this point, it doesn't sound like the Wildfire drives are the issue.

    Dear Patriot Ben.
why would you use a recovery cd when i gave you direct links to download WINDOWS 7 SP1 OEM from microsoft DIGITAL RIVER WEB SITE?
i'm sorry but i cant understand the way Patriot work. why not use a standard, regular DVD? how can you recreate the ERROR if you are not using an ORIGINAL MEDIA FOR INSTALL?

DO YOU THINK THAT USERS USE RECOVERY CD TO INSTALL WINDOWS? NO. THEY USE OEM or RETAIL VERSIONS. what do i need to do in order to get PATRIOT to LISTEN(!) TO ME? MY GOD!

i contacted Gigabyte and asked them about the "Gigabyte Recovery CD". here is the answer.

    Dear Ohad,
Gigabyte recover win7 dvd is not a standard oem/retail version of windows.
and may contain special features, tweaks and drivers.

If you still have any further question or suggestion about our products/service, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will try our best to help you resolve the problem ASAP.

    Regards,
    GIGABYTE

    Patriot_Ben,
i'm begging you! i do! i really really Do!

PLEASE USE AN ORIGINAL DVD OR THE LINKS (MICROSOFT DIGITAL RIVER) THAT I GAVE YOU TO DOWNLOAD A STANDARD RETAIL/OEM VERSION OF WINDOWS 7 SP1.
HERE ARE LINKS DIRECTLY TO MICROSOFT DIGITAL RIVER DOWNLOAD:

(Digital River way to download original Microsoft AND OTHER PARTNERS ISO's! like Logitech, adobe ETC...)

I TRUST GIGABYTE WHEN THEY SAY THAT THE RECOVERY DVD IS NOT A REGULAR WINDOWS 7 DVD.
AND I TRUST THE ISRAELI DISTRIBUTER WHEN THEY SAY THAT THEY ALSO! COULD'NT INSTAL WINDOWS 7 SP1 X64

THE LINKS ARE TO ORIGINAL WINDOWS DVD DIRECTLY FROM MICROSOFT.
PLEASE, PLEASE USE A STANDARD INSTALLTION.

    Ohad.

    Ohad,

Please do not post up links for Microsoft Windows downloads. For liability reasons, we have removed the link. We have tried the X17-59465 that you are using. We burned it to dvd and mounted it to USB flash and absolutely had no issues at all with the install on the Gigabyte X79-UD5. At this point, we have provided enough sufficient proof that there are no issues with our Wildfire drives with any Windows install. We have installed Windows 3 times in an attempt to replicate your issue, and we cannot. We would suggest looking into other hardware problems, such as dvd rom or USB flash drive as the install source sounds like it could be the problem.

From here, the only thing we would be able to do for you at this point is to replace your Patriot Hardware to see if that alleviates the issue...

    Thumbs up I'm speechless...

    Dear Patriot_Ben

    1. I agree with you, you did more then enough to help me and i want to thank you so much for all your help. I appreshiate everything you done to try and resolve this issue.

    2. I also talked (a few minutes ago) with David, the israeli distributer and asked him to watch your last post. needless to say that he was amazed as i was he told me that after your screenshot he thinks that maybe he got a bad series of SSD's

    3. one more thing that now I feel a bit embarrassed to ask you...
can you please upload a screenshot like you did at post 26? and add your SSD FW version? I wouldnt ask you to do that if i wasn't sure that we tried any possible way to resolve the issue.

also, as you recall we did succeeded a few times to install windows but when we tried to do "WINDOWS UPDATE" it gave us a BSOD with "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" error. did you by any chance tried to do a WINDOWS UPDATE?

    and again,
thank you so much for all your help.
I'm sure that you will get the 4 SSD's that we used to try and install windows in a few days.

    thank you,
    Ohad.
