Default RAM Error. cant install windows 7. Patriot 4x4GB 1600MHz PGQ316G1600ELQK

    Hey everyone

i think that i have a RAM problem. fresh system, here is the spec.
    MB X79-UD5 F10 FW
CPU I7 3820 with koolance water system
    RAM Patriot 4X4GB 1600MHz PGQ316G1600ELQK
    SSD Patriot WILDFIRE 120GB
    VGA ATI 6850
    ------------------------------------
    so listen to this:
    i cant install windows 7 ultimate x64 sp1.
    im doing the standard process.
Boot from CD/DOK (i tried 6 different media and DOKs)
after pressing NEXT when windows EXPANDING FILES i am getting this error
    (Exact message:
"Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570")

the DVD and the DOK are perfect!
i took the patriot out and install 2x2GB OCZ GOLD 1600MHz and error is the same!

    now listen to this
when im installing the Windows 7 x64 without SP1 i can install windows. but, after the SP1 update i get a blue screen with "MEMORY MANGEMENT" message every 10 minutes.

so today, Gigabyte replaced the board with same brand new board and error is the same with the PATRIOT. i tried the OCZ again and the error is back.
then i tried KINGSTONE hyperX 1x4GB 1600MHz and the system is OK. I CAN INSTALL WINDOWS. (this the place to say that i couldnt install windows with the PATRIOT even as 1xGB, 2x4GB configuration.
tried a brand new Kingstone HyperX 4x4GB 1600MHz x79 SET and the same error. and this is again, a new board.

so is it a RAM problem? cause the OCZ set is working perfectly with Gigabyte x58-UD5 Rev2 FF1 FW. (as part of 3x set) and i7 950.

    XMP enabled/disabled = SAME ERROR
MB Load Default = SAME ERROR
i am using SSD Drive so i lso tried to install on a WD 320GB = SAME ERROR

    maybe its a BIOS issue?
do i need to tweek something else?

    Thank you,
and sorry for my bad english

    Ohad.

    Post Update on the error.

i changed the VRAM from 1.500v to 1.650v - sticker on the RAM says 1.650v. BUT XMP settings on bios show AUTO 1.500V.
and now i can install windows but iam getting a blue screen with "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" Error every 2 minutes after login.
also, i cant do a WINDOWS UPDATE, same blue screen every second.

    should i replace the RAM?
when XMP enabled it suppose to show 1.650v not 1.500v right?

    thank you.

Are you running at default spec? Try setting everything to default first for the O/S install.

It's possible that it could be bad memory.

    Try running memtest.
Memtest can be found here: http://www.memtest.org/

    6-7 Loops should be fine.

Please advise if there are any errors.

Hi, thank you for your answer.

i tried default settings and to update the bios to latest ver. (F10), same error.
But can you pleaese answer me on the XMP question? when XMP enabled, Bios should show 1.650v right? not 1500v?
cause the RAM sticker indicate 1.650v but bios (Gigabyte M.I.T) show AUTO 1.500v with XMP enabled.
when i am changing the VRAM from AUTO (1.500v) to 1.650v on both channels i can install windows
but after login i am getting "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" blue screen every 2 minutes.

for the memtest advice, i did the test for just 45 minutes (not enough right?) and it was OK.
also, Microsoft memory tool ( complete 100%) didnt found any error too.

    thank you.

    Hello,

Yes, the Bios should pick up the memory voltage at 1.65v. Are you able to update the drivers? Try installing all of the drivers on the motherboard side. (Ie; chipet, sata, lan etc)

Try also testing each stick at a time (on each slot) to see if you can isolate the error to any particular stick or slot.

    Hi,
well the bios not picking up the memory voltage.
i updated all drivers with latest (directy from intel, gigabyte and even latest from Station Drivers web site).
but then i am getting the MEMORY MANAGEMENT blue screen.

i cant even install windows with one stick or two. after pressing NEXT when windows EXPANDING FILES i am getting this error
(Exact message: "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570")

only way to install windows is by changing the VRAM from 1.500 AUTO to 1.650v MANUAL.
XMP PROFILE1 DOESNT CHANGE MY RAM VOLTAGE, infact it doesnt change anything.
and anyway the MEMORY MANAGEMENT blue screen happen evenbefore drivers or after drivers, before any updates and after i am trying to install updates. (even with 1.650v windows update cant update and i am getting blue screens every second when INSTALLING UPDATES start...

so should i replace my RAM?
do i need to change something else in the bios?

    thank you.

    Hello,

In regards to XMP Dram voltage, can you check your VSA or system agent voltage? Make sure this is set to default.

Taking a look into the bsod code: 0x80070570, a lot of this is tied to the ram possible being an issue.

Furthermore, let me know if the individual stick/slots tests comes up with any errors or if you are able to get the installation working this way.

    Hi,
System agent voltage is on AUTO (Default).

    about the error.
i am getting it with 2 different sticks that i tried. on 2 different X79-UD5 NEW Gigabyte MB.
and yes, the error is a ram issue. didnt find any info about "MEMORY MANAGEMENT" blue screen.

btw, i am running memtest for 3 Hours now... 2 pass. NO errors (BIOS DEFAULT WITH XMP ENABLE that show's "AUTO" "1.500v" "1600MHz").

    tank you,
    Ohad.

Default i Replaced THE Patriot 16GB Kit - NEW ERROR WHEN EXPANDING FILES: 0X80070015

I just got back from my dealer.
He replaced the RAM and the SSD Drive (Wildfire 120GB 3.2.0 FW) with a new set's.

    1. RAM apper in bios (gigabyte M.I.T - XMP ENABLED) as 9.9.11.24 and not as 9.9.9.24.
    2. RAM VOLTAGE SHOWS "1.500V AUTO" NOT 1.650V
    3. WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL WINDOWS i am getting the old error 0x80070570 and a new error 0x80070015 (but same message: Windows cant install files....) the new error indicate that there is an SSD\HDD problem. so i updated the SSD FW to 3.2.2 and still getting the same errors but as a gift i am getting 2 more! Error 0x80070002 or if installing with DVDRW disconnected 0x80070015 Windows cant install files...
    4. now i cant install windows even if i am changing the VRAM from 1.500v to 1.650v. so i am totaly F**ked

should i update the drive to 5.0.1 ? (i stiil have the zip file that was retracted)

i just dont know what to do anymore
Why is no one from patriot trying to help and solve this issue?

    Hi Ohad,

I understand your frustration. Rest assured we are doing the best we can to try and help you resolve the issue. We just need to understand what the issue is first.

It looks like0x80070015 could be related the dvd/cd drive:

Do you have access to another dvd drive or install method you can try?
