Unhappy Does PGQ quad channel work with Z68 1155 platform

Has anyone used, or does the forum tech guy know if this memory will work with the Z68/1155 platform [Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3 mobo]
    [Patriot Gamer 2 Series, Division 4 Edition 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory Model PGQ316G1866ELQK]

I'm looking at this "combo" from Newegg and all the Patriot Memory offered says ...
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.884395

"Extreme Performance PC3-15000 (1866MHz) Enhanced Latency (9-11-9-27) Voltage: 1.65V XMP Ready / Tested and Verified RoHS Compliant Only compatible with Intel X79 chipsets"

Why newegg doesn't offer KNOWN COMPATIBLE memory with combo deals just mistifies me, they do the same thing if you try and combo Patriot Mem with the 2600K also

Any help/advise greatly appreciated, as I need to finish up ordering by the end of Sunday ...

EDIT: Monday 4/9 ... Really wanted to try the Patriot mem, but the Z77 boards came out yesterday and they had great combo deals with other compatible ram, someone from Patriot should have a "chat" w/Newegg :O

    Irvine,

Do you have a link to the bundle you purchased?

    Hey Irvine,

Did you receive the motherboard and memory yet? Although the memory is geared for Intel 6-Series, it still might be able to work. Can you try setting the rated timings and voltages? Make sure that the board is on the latest bios.

I have not yet recieved the computer parts. What is the probability of failure? Any idea?

Well in terms of "failure," the product should still work, it's just that because it was tested on a different platform you might have to run it at 1600MHz if the rated 1866 speeds do not work. In speaking with our Engineers' testing and validation experience, the platforms are close enough to where there should not be any issues.
