Default Patriot Box need help after upgrade system error

    Hi,

I have a problem with my patriot box, after upgrade. The panel stay at the first screen "PATRIOT BOX OFFICE" and never I have the main menu.

Is it possible to downgrade or remove the last upgrade? I thing I missed of fixed kit!

    Can you help me please?

The firmware is corrupted. Try SW3 or USB-TTL approach to re-flash the firmware.

I'm sorry for my unknown, but what is a SW3 or a USB-TTL?

You should be able to find the info under the mod/hack subforum. Before trying either approach, you may first try to put a P02 firmware install.img on a thumb drive and plug it in to see if it does load the firmware automatically. If not, you may try the tag_install approach. I'll send you the link to the tag_install firmware later. Do you know which bootcode is on your PBO?

If you have bootcode18 or above (most likely if your PBO is purchased in 2011 or later), you may get the tag_install file from this post and the the modded firmware from here. Extract both files to a thumb drive. The password for extracting the firmware is "isakira.twnuu.com". After you plug in the thumb drive and start up the PBO, it should start loading the firmware in 40 seconds. If you wait for 10 minutes and nothing happened, then you may need to try SW3 or USB-TTL approach. If it is still in warranty or you don't want to manipulate inside the box, you may RMA it to Patriot.

Do not attempt the tag_install with this firmware if you are not sure what bootcode you have or it is below 18.

In that case, let me check if I have any y format firmware that may work with tag_install. It won't hurt if you can try that too. Just extract the tag_install file onto a thumb drive that has a bootcode16 compatible firmware and power up the PBO and wait 5-10 minutes. If it works, it will start loading the firmware automatically in 40-60s after power on. After that the tag_install file will be removed automatically.
