Ok so from what I am reading here, we have Timemachine and Itunes server that is broken in the Javelin. I bought this Nas for some of those features and none of them seem to work like it should. Now I dont wanna troll or anything but when are we expecting a fix for this from an OFFICIAL firmware?

I definitely agree with you. I thought it was "out of the box" ready to go type of device.

I have spoken to Tech Support twice on the phone over the last three weeks. They assure me that they are working on a "Official" Firmware update for the device to support OS X Lion.

I bought this new NAS for many reasons and one of them was to have more speed coping to and from my NAS and this device does that very well (going from DLink DNS323).

The price I paid is also really good comparing to other 4 bay NAS devices (225$ tax in with the 100$ rebate)

But lets face it, with a price this low comes poor customer support. But I mean this is Patriot, not some corner street no name store.

I am seriously considering returning this product or just buying a QNAP or Synology.

Another bug I encountered was once you disable BT server in administration and then just click on download centre it re-enables the BT server. WTF is that really!!!!
