Let us know of what they tell you... personnally I couldn't care less about Mac issues but I'd sure like to have an update to fix a couple of issues this product has.

Found out more information... The Javin NAS is actually a SmartStor NAS 4600 from Promise Memory. Promise has a Firmware release for the device however, Patriot is waiting on Promise to give them a version of the Firmware for the Javelin. Apparently there are issues with porting the firmware over to the Javelin. I am debating trying to use the Promise Memory Firmware on my Javelin since it is not in production yet.

The Upgrade file from Promise cannot be used on the Javelin it comes back with a file invalid message.

Yeah, the Patriot box is a little bit different than the Promise one, among the differences are a different CPU and also a different linux kernel / version. Hence why you can't install Promise firmware on this box... but it's good to know that it IS coming

Enter this in your terminal and you will be able to see Javelin drives in OS X Lion Time Machine. You still cannot back up to them using AFP however...

Hmmm... I'm able to log in with my Mac Mini but not my Mac Book Pro...
