Noisy Fan

Hello, new to this forum, please forgive any protocol misteps.

Please Help!

Purchased a new Patriot box office ~ Dec 2010, and the fan has began to be very noisy in the last 6 months. Is this normal? How can it be repaired? What's the warranty on this box?

You could ask Patriot (RMA) and see if they are willing to send you another fan or you could open you PBO and peel the sticker off the fan unit and put a light dab of light oil in there. Way back I requested another fan because mine was noisy only after a month; the new fan worked fine for a few months then started to also get noisy. Since then I have been putting a drop of oil (once every 3/4 months) in the moving part behind the fan sticker and the fan has been running smoothly and quiet.

Just email the RMA department with a proof of purchase (e-copy of invoice) and a description of the problem and your shipping address. They will send you replacement fan(s). They sent me two last time and mine has been noise free so far.
