Patriot Warp SSD and HDDS
Hello All,
I'm just new to Patriot and to SSD's. I recently (5hrs ago) brought a Patriot Warp 64gb SSD and a couple of WD VelociRaptors 300gb.
I was thinking of using the SSD for the operating system -Vista 64bit and the Raptors in raid 0 for games/music and movies.
Some say that the operating systems were not designed for SSD's, anyone have any input on this?
Also, even though Patriot have a note on the product website regarding not formatting an SSD, you have to when loading Windows for the first time and it has been said to format it for the first time then not neccesary after that, true?
Are there any tips to keeping the SSD running smooth, problem free and as fast as when I first got it?
Will there be any issues with setting up a raid on the HDD's with a single SSd as operating system drive?
thanx very much in advance for any useful feedback,
regards Ed.

Patriot Warp SSD and HDDS
The SSD drive is able to handle an operating system on it so there should be no issues between them. Yes format it for the first time to get your operating system installed on it and after the first format you don’t want to format it again because it will shorten the lifespan of the SSD drive you also want to disable the auto defrag option in bios. Keep all the default setting and your SSD drive should run smooth. Yes you will be able to run it like that with out any issues.
