Default Is PSD38G1600KH (2x4) Signature Series RAM compatible with the Asus P7P55 LX MB?

    Hey All,

I recently upgraded my 4 GB (2x2) of RAM with the 8 GB (2x4) Signature series RAM referenced in the subject. Previously, my system ram smoothly, no freezing or BSODs. With the upgrade, I get lock-ups and BSODs many times a day. Not quite ready to give up on the memory yet so I'm hoping someone can make suggestions about the optimum settings for this RAM with an Asus P7P55 LX motherboard as I have not changed anything since installing the sticks. Detailed system specs are listed below. Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Are you on the latest bios? Try flashing the board to the latest bios if it is not. Can you try increasing the dram voltage to 1.65v?

Let me know if this helps.

    Hello,

Based on what you’re describing I would recommend a replacement under warranty.

To Initiate an RMA or items relating to warranty, please visit this link here and under ‘troubleshooting’ select your product from the dropdown box and fill out the info (look at the bottom for ‘start a technical case’):
    http://www.patriotmemory.com/support/techSupportp.jsp

(This link will get your name and contact info into our Support/RMA Portal database. You will then be given a user id and password where you can make replies to your Support/RMA case. Please make a note that you already spoke to a rep regarding your issue. Furthermore afterwards, feel free to login to reply or simply await for the case to be escalated to RMA with further instructions. To escalate the case to rma, please indicate that you’ve spoken to a rep already).
