    Default Cant browse PBO on Windows 7 PC

    Gentlemen !

    Ive spent the last two hours trying to figure this one out but its not happening.

    I just got my 2.5 320GB Sata 3.0 in the post. The drive works fine. I can copy files from my PC over the network cable to the internal drive with the PBO interface.
    (This would also indicate to me the network connection is ok [Edit: Another indication network is ok - can stream podcasts in IMS menu)

    But I cant browse to the PBO from my Win7 64Bit PC.
    \\192.168.1.11 and then I get the error "Windows can not access \\192.168.1.11"
    Same error with \\venus
    I can see VENUS in my Network but cant browse, same error.

    Also on the Transcode server when I click on "Visit Neighbour" - Open Host error.

    I can browse 192.168.1.11 in my web browser and see the page where I can add torrents but having issues adding torrents also.
    "Internet explorer can not display webpage"
    Then I refresh the page and get some xml :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <report>
    - <operation>
    <command>List</command>
    <return>OK</return>
    </operation>
    - <daemon>
    <status>active</status>
    </daemon>
    - <torrent>
    <total>0</total>
    </torrent>
    </report>

    Ive tried downgrading the firmware to p02 and back to P70R2 several times and reformatted HDD a few times aswell.

    Any suggestions ?

    Thank you !!

    Can browse PBO and DL torrents on a Windows XP netbook.

    Been researching this issue seems people have similar trouble with NAS servers.
    Its got to do with a old version of Samba which does not recognise NTLMv2 authentication.
    There are some workarounds I tried like. Editing the registry to allow for NTLM and LM authentication which didnt work. People with Win7 Pro/Ult can change this on the UI using gpedit.msc. But I dont fancy paying to upgrade to see if that might fix it.

    Others suggesting updating samba to 3.3.4 which allows for NTLMv2 authentication. The pbo uses 3.0.3 I think. Couldnt find a guide on here how to update samba and I have the latest firmware already.

    Anyone fix this problem before ??
