My new Patriot Xporter Magnum 128GB Hi-Speed, Super Hi-Capacity USB Flash Drive PEF128GMNUSB came formatted FAT32 - probably not news to anyone here. I am new to these forums and need advice. SHOULD I FORMAT MY NEW FLASH DRIVE FOR NTFS FILE STORAGE??? If I do, what are the pros and acons???
I will be loading it from a Dell XPS laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate.
I have three intended uses for the memory.
(1) I have two iTunes databases I intend to migrate to the drive, a 80GB music db and a 20GB audio db. I plan to play the content of these iTunes databases both on my laptop and on my new car's radio which has a USB front panel port (AUX input). I do not know if the radio will read NTFS at this point.
(2) Archives created using WinZip.
(3) Jump drive usage for photos, printing docs, etc.
