Default Trouble with 3.3 firmware on 60gb Pyro

I bought the drive a few days ago and it came with the 3.2 firmware. The first thing I did with the drive before doing anything with it was update to the 3.3 firmware. The issue that is coming is that everytime I come out of sleep mode, the PC either gets a BSOD or crashes.

I did downgrade it to the 3.2 firmware and tested it a few times, and it does not crash after sleep mode. 3.2 works fine at the moment but I will post again after I test it out a few more times.

So pretty much so far the 3.2 firmware works and the 3.3 formware does not. Is this a drive issue or is there something up with the new firmware?

The mobo I have is an ASRock P67 Pro 3 with a 2500k CPU.

If you disable sleep and just shut down your computer and restart it back up when you need to use it. Does the symptoms still arise?

With 3.3, it was shutting down and starting fine. I did not have to disable sleep mode for that but for this, I did not test it out much. I am at the moment on 3.2 which seems to be working ok but I will check on it once I get back. Im just hoping I dont get the same problems with the 3.2 firmware.

That is a really strange issue you are seeing. You have the latest BIOS update and Windows updates? Are you running AHCI mode? Are you overclocking?

The BIOS was up to date, using AHCI mode, and am also overclocking. It seems the Intel Management Interface driver was the problem. After updating it, the 3.3 firmware seems to work fine now.

I have same issues with my Pyro 60GB 3.3.2 connected to my iMac. When it wakes from sleep, system behave like it couldn't read write from drive.

    Hello,

Can you try updating it with 5.0.2 to see if this helps resolve the issue? Please advise.

    Unhappy

Already upgraded to 5.0.2. But issues are still here! So I might try downgrade fw to 3.2.
