Unhappy Help~ After press "restore to default",PBO can't be used ><

I insert my USB HDD, but PBO can't detect. Then, I took another USB HDD. It's still the same situation. So, I go to setup menu and press "restore to default"

After that and restart PBO, TV screen shows PBO logo and then black screen. (It should show PBO Menu.)
I tried to install firmware again, but PBO didn't execute flash function.

Please help me how to solve this problem ><

p.s. I also tried to adjust brightness. It's still the same.

    Thanks!

If you can telnet to your PBO you could insert a USB Stick with firmware on it in the USB port and issue the following command:

    Code:
    # kill -6 1
Hopefully your USB port will work on reboot ????

If you already tried the brightness solution explained in another thread and this does not work for you, you may have to invest in a serial cable to resurrect your PBO. If you bought it recently you can always exchange it or go thru RMA support and see what they can do for you.

    Good Luck!

It seems you have the firmware corrupted, perhaps even before the "restore to default". I am not sure if the sw3 method can help, but I used USB-TTL cable to recover my PBO in the same situation like yours.

Well the first requirement would be that the PBO is connected to a network of some type (Wireless or using the Ethernet port of the PBO).

How to actually telnet depends a bit on your OS and OS version so I suggest you use google to see how this is accomplish with your specific OS / Version.

Once you have that figure out you only need to telnet to the IP given by your router to the PBO and when it ask for a username just type "root" without the quotes. This should bring you to the telnet prompt # where you can enter the command indicated above.

Let me know if you need more info.
