Question Patriot Wildfire 120GB on Macbook Pro 13' early 2011

Got myself an Patriot Wildfire 120GB a couple of weeks ago for my Macbook Pro 13' early 2011. It works fine in the first place but I found that I will encounter random system freeze after I installed the SSD, I can still move my mouse cursor and even switching between applications but nothing else you can do. Normally the system will get back to normal less than 30 seconds but it quite annoying because sometimes it happens quite often. I don't have windows os installed so no firmware updated. Can you please take a look at this?

Same here with my 2011 15" macbook pro, but it seems like they have found a fix: http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/...FW-3.2.0/page5

Another problem is that I don't have a windows based system which means I can not upgrade the firmware...

You do not have access to any Windows computer? Friend, Family or work? If you do not, you can send the drive in to us and we can update the firmware for you.

So I'm in the same boat as the OP, and I only have access to a friend's laptop, and I'd have to connect the wildfire via USB caddy. When I try that though the drive isn't recognised. I've tried the same on 4 different computers (all connecting the wildfire via usb caddy). Is it easier to just send it in? I'm uk based FWIW.

I have confirmed on a late 2011 model mbp that you can bootcamp Windows 7 and update it that way.
