Currently, I have the latest firmware (70 R2) loaded with my PBO. With a new hard drive upgrade (500 GB), it's coming to the point where transferring files to the drive is either slow or cumbersome (depending on how it's done).
Often times, it's best to simply remove the hard drive from the PBO and have an SATA and power cable ready from a desktop (I have a removable cover where the cable is long enough to achieve this) and transfer the files directly that way.
Is there any progress on improving transfer rates (via USB, it seems like the equivalent of a USB 1.1 interface)?
I'm considering a LAN or an 802.11g connection, but from what I've read of the forums, I'm best off with my current options (USB transfer or the pulling out method).
Having gone through the forums, it seems as though it's either a hardware limitation or a driver issue.
