Default Patriot 32GB Micro SDHC - Working on Windows 7 Samsung Focus?

I recently purchased a 32GB Micro SD HC card for my Samsung Focus based on the following statement I saw on this forum:

    Hi Guys,

For future reference if you have any further issues or questions about any CLASS 10 cards on Windows or Android Phones, please post in the appropriate thread (or create a new thread if one is not available). There should be no issues with Class 4 Micro SDHC cards on Windows 7 phones. This thread will be closed to clear up any confusion.

    Thank You for your cooperation...

Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble getting it to work. I can insert it, reformat my phone and when it reboots the phone indicates that I have about 30 GB of available space . . . but when I try to load content, I can't seem to get it to load more than 8GB. I've tried reformatting several times to no effect.

When I re-insert my 16GB Sandisk card, I'm able to reformat and access the entire ~22GB without any trouble.

Does anyone have any suggestions/tips on how to get this to work?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Can you please try a low level format from the SD org to see if this will fix the issue? The format tool essentially will factory erase the card and in some cases restore the original performance.

The utility and instructions can be downloaded from here and can be done on a PC:

Unfortunately, I can't seem to recognize this card in any PCs. I have tried 4 different PCs and none seem capable of recognizing the card.

Is there something obvious that I might be doing wrong or is it possible that I reformatted the card in the WP7 such that I can't recognize it?

Thanks for all of your help!

    Hello,

Based on what you're describing, I would recommend a replacement under warranty.
