    Smile OVERCLOCKING PC3-12800 1600 MHz PGS34G1600LLKA2

I am new here, so i hope you will excuse my lack of knowledge.

Don't want to risk with self testing and overclocking so y am posting this question here:

    I've bought (4x 2Gb) PC3-12800 1600 MHz PGS34G1600LLKA2 for:
    RAM.jpg
    RAM2.jpg
    RAM1.jpg
    Mobo: P8P67 PRO B3

Bios says that it's using 1.7V for memory. (CPU-Z is showing sth..)

How can i overclock this memory, what settings can i afford in bios ?

    Hello,

First, please be aware that our PGS34G1600LLKA2 is intended for the Socket AM3 platform. Because of this the rated overclock specs may not correlate. Please see here for more details:

With your system I would not exceed 1.65v.

Try a moderate overclock first. I would recommend something like 1333 7-7-7-20.
With the bclk at 100, change only the memory frequency to 1333, set cas 7, trcd 7, trp 7, tras 20. (1.65v)

If this is stable then I would increase it to something higher such as 1600 9-9-9-24 or 8-8-8-20 w/o exceeding dram 1.65v.

You can do a quick stability-test with Memtest.
Memtest can be found here: http://www.memtest.org/

    Good Luck!

    Thank you!!

Well i tried 1333 7-7-7-20 and it doesent work.
    But 1600 9-9-9-24 works perfectly!
It is onlty that frequency is not 1600 exactly.. it i sth about 1698 MHz.
Is it bad if i let motherboart adjust voltage ? For now Auto voltage never exeeded 1.45V

    Thank you again!

It sounds like your HTT/FSB might be a bit over the native speed. Hence the reason why it's not an even 1600.
It should be fine as long as your system is stable, however are you sure it's Dram Voltage?
    1.45v is a bit low.

All in all, as long as you're stable there should not be any reason to worry.
