Question Printer support. Is it really so limited?

I'm going to buy NAS and Valkyrie looks a good choice for a very good price. I want to understand what is situation with printer support for Valkyrie. The list of supported printers (http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/showthread.php?4842-ValkyrieSupported-Printers) looks very limited. Is it really so bad?

Since I have Samsung CLP-510, I'm wondering if is it possible to use Valkyrie as print server for this printer or I need to get other print server? I can modify Valkyrie firmware, by adding drivers and/or editing configs, if it is necessary and if someone give me instructions.

But may be that the easiest way is to use print server capabilities of my router (TP-Link TL-WR1043ND, DD-WRT firmware).

The client computers use Windows XP (and possibly will use Windows 7), if it important.

    Thanks in advance!
