    Default PGV34G1333ELK and H61 Motherboard

    Hello,

I currently have Gigabyte Motherboard: GA-H61M-D2P-B3 running with PGV34G1333ELK (4GB) and intel i3-2100
When everything is set to auto, My computer freezes randomly.
I tried to raise the voltage to 1.65V but the system still freezes.
Could please point me into how I should loosen up my timings a bit? maybe that will help.

    Thanks a lot

Do you have your latest bios updated?

Please apply it if it is not.

It's sounds more like the memory could be faulty.

To further troubleshoot the memory can you test the memory with memtest?

Memtest can be found here: http://www.memtest.org/
Please run about 2-3 loops each stick on each slot.

    Please report back any errors.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes it is the latest bios.

I already ran memtest with both sticks. It made 14 passes with no errors.

    I solved the problem.
I bought some quality memory of another brand for the same price as this patriot memory and it worked out of the box.

Never every putting a patriot memory stick in my future builds or recommending it to anyone. I understand that the memory might need tweaking for different motherboards but if you cannot keep up with customer support then your business is a failure.

    Thanks

I just recently bought an i3-2100 with an Asus P8h67-m LE. Also purchased this product (PGV34G1333ELK). Leaving the settings on X.M.P makes my computer hang with distorted horizontal lines. I noticed this has to do with th onboard IGP not liking this ram. Setting it to Manual I changed the settings to the recommended 9-9-9-24-2n. Seems to have fixed it until recently when the problem returned. Also noticed that leaving the ram at 1.5v completely solves the issue but the ram/computer runs particularly slower. Any info would be appreciated as this problem is quite annoying. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I already added different memory to the system. I am still curious, however, as to whats wrong with the patriot sticks and can do some further testing if you think the problem could be solved.
