Hey snappy, I know that you guys are working on SRJG in your spare time, but was wondering if you could give us a quick update as to how close it is to being released.
Thanks
Well, it is pretty much completed and ready for release we are currently working on the documentation. If you have an SVN client on you computer you should be able to download the trunk repository to you computer and then copy the required files to your PBO. I will talk to the other guy's about packing the trunk directory into a downloadable zip file; we can then develop installation script based on the zip file for the various player/firmware to make it easier for the user to install the jukebox.
Cheers !!!
Sounds good. Just one more question, I was thinking of trying either the Medebo or ACRyan firmware and was wondering if this will also work on the other firmwares.
Thanks
Trying to add genre's to the new version of SRJG. I read several of the previous how to posts but don't seem to see those files, etc., any longer. Thinking the rewrite, excellent work by the way, changed how genre's are handled. I see lots of the jpg's now under genre folder on my media server. I've added the genre.jpg's I want to update, like for foreign films I d/l the large collection of genre thumbnails and renamed the foreign genre.jpg to Foreign.jpg, put it in the genre directory on my media server. But it does not display. Ran jukebox update, no effect. I'm obviously missing a step.
How does one update the genre.jpg's with the new version of srjg?
The genre thumbnails not showing up are Science Fiction, Foreign, Sports and Chickflicks. Just show the "Unknown" thumbnail despite having a jpg in the genre folder on my media player.

Thanks for getting back to me snappy. Nice programming on this jukebox....
I'm not sure about version. Its the one included in the latest R20 firmware for the AIOS. Let me see if I can tell which version it is. It has the ims modules.
Asked just now. This is all I have in the firmware update information.

I've read most of the day, PBO forums, this forum, pdf files, most everything I can find. I'm more confused now than before I started.
Having 2 problems. The genre's thumbnails as noted and the movie sheet/info sheet in full sheet mode is too tall. Cuts off the genre names on the bottom of the screen so that the text is about cut in half. Was told it might be a thumben profile problem and its template needs to be updated.
I have not attempted to add multiple juke boxes.
Other than those 2 it is an amazing piece of software.
Edit: The readme file on the srjg directory on they media server is dated 16 Dec 2011 if that helps.
Give me a few tries and I'll find it....

Ok now that I know which version you have it makes it a little easier for me to help despite the fact that I haven't looked at that code for quite a few months. It has been so long that I will need a few days just to analyse the code to figure out was is going on. I am not sure that ChickFlicks is an approved genre ???? can not remember. Filename are very important sports.jpg should be spelled sport.jpg no "s" at the end.
Anyhow give me a few days to see what's going on.
Cheers !!!
