2 different kinds of 1 gb of pc3200

I have a patriot 1 gb pc3200 with a green pcb and the old heat sink with the clip and recently I have bought another one from newegg, I have receive a different model with a red pcb and different heatsink design no clip. run memtest on them no problems so far system is detecting them as dual channel mode in 2gb, to make a long story short is there a long term problem here? If I rma the new chip to newegg and request an older model from newegg. do you still manufacure the old model?

We are replacing all the new performance product with new Heat Shield design. All the new memory has the new design. If you are looking for the old design, I recommend you check with the retailer and make sure they have the old design before you get it. As for compatiblity, the memory solution is still the same, therefore the are compatible in Dual Channel mode.
